We are a 100% volunteer-run board.
93% of donations, in 2021, went directly to the community because we are a volunteer team. We've been serving the Fairfax and Falls Church, Virginia, communities for almost 30 years and have impacted more than 6,000 individuals in mental health treatment.
meet THE board
We provide goods and services for people with a behavioral health condition. Our vision, similar to the vision of the Community Services Board (CSB), is that individuals in our community have the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
What do you love most about being on the board?
-
I am proud to be part of an organization helping people better bridge the gaps in social programs to access needed services that would not otherwise have been available to them.
-
On being on the board, I get to use my marketing skills to contribute to the success I feel the board has on its grantees. It truly is a group effort that everyone demonstrates and participates with each other in being successful.
-
I love serving on the NVMHF Board because the organization makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors living with mental health conditions.
